Domestic Waste means waste, excluding hazardous waste, for residential, educational, health care, sport or recreational purposes. Domestic waste can be classified into recyclable and reusable, compostable and also non-recyclable or non- usable waste. Domestic waste for the purposes of the standards does not include commercial and industrial waste, building rubble and ‘hard’ or non-compostable garden waste.
